Unregistration and uninstallation for Control+

You may need to unregister a device (for example, to move the device to a different tenant), or perform a full uninstallation. 

Unregistering device(s)

Before you unregister a device, you’ll need to un-configure it first. 

Unconfiguring device(s)

How you unconfigure a device will depend on what you used for setup: 

  • Batch Device Registration for PC Tool used for setup

  • Cloud Settings app used for setup

Unconfiguring if Batch Device Registration for PC Tool was used for setup

  1. Go to the device you want to unconfigure. 

  2. On the home screen, press the menu button (a four-square grid).

  3. Select Cloud Settings.

  4. Select Unsetting

  5. When the uninstallation of the various apps is complete, select Close.

  6. Select OK

  7. Uninstallation begins automatically. 

    1. If the device restarts during un-configuration, wait for the device to complete restarting.

    2. If a screen prompts you to log in, enter the login user name and password of the machine administrator, and select OK.

Unconfiguring if Cloud Settings was used for setup

 How you unconfigure a device will depend on whether you’re un-configuring before updating ACT 2.0 or after updating ACT 2.0.

Unconfiguring a device before ACT2.0

If you used Cloud Settings for setup: 

  1. Go to the device you want to unconfigure. 

  2. Select Cloud Settings app.

  3. Select Unsetting

  4. Select Close

  5. Select OK

  6. Uninstallation begins automatically.

  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete un-configuration.

    1. If the device restarts during un-configuration, wait for the device to complete restarting.

    2. If a screen prompts you to log in, enter the login user name and password of the machine administrator, and select OK.

  8. Device will restart automatically. 

  9. Press Application Site.

  10. Press RSI Control+ Setup.

    1. Depending on the country or region where this product is used, a different application name is used as follows:

      1. Mainly in North America: [SI Device Enhancement]

      2. Mainly in Europe: [RSI Control+ Setup]

      3. Mainly in Asia: [RICOH Cumo-nect Office]

      4. Mainly in South America: [Ricoh Smart Suite Easy Setup]

  11. Select Uninstall.

  12. When the uninstallation of the various apps is complete, select Close.

  13. Turn off the main power switch, and turn on it again manually.

The device is now un-configured. 

Unconfiguring a device after ACT2.0

  1. Go to the device you want to unconfigure. 

  2. Select Cloud Settings

  3. Select Allocate/Deallocate Packages. 

  4. Confirm the message on the screen, and then select Continue.

  5. Remove the check from the package you want to deallocate. 

  6. Select Next

  7. On the screen for scheduling package installation, specify the time at which to uninstall the package, and then select Next.

    1. To start uninstallation at the specified time after Cloud Settings is complete, remove the check from Install immediately after the settings are complete.

  8. If the Cloud Settings icon is not added to the Home screen, specify whether to add the icon, and then select OK.

  9. Select Close.

  10. You can deallocate all packages from the machine and uninstall them at once.

  11. Confirm the contents of the screen, and then select Unregister.

  12. All packages will be uninstalled.

Now you’ve un-configured your device, you can proceed with unregistering it. 

  1. Select Cloud Settings. 

  2. Select Unregister device. 

    1. After the un-registration is complete, the package assigned to the device is automatically uninstalled during auto-update.

  3. Select Uninstall Packages List to check the packages that will be uninstalled.

  4. Confirm the contents of the screen, and then select Unregister.

  5. You can deallocate all packages from the machine and uninstall them at once.

  6. Confirm the contents of the screen, and then select Unregister.

  7. All packages will be uninstalled.

Uninstallation for device(s) 

This section describes how to perform a full uninstallation if Cloud Settings was downloaded for setup.

You must unregister a device before you perform a full uninstallation (guidance on this is above). 

  1. On the home screen, select Ricoh Smart Integration app.

  2. Open the Admin Menu in the upper right corner.

  3. Select Delete Device Information. 

  4. Press OK

  5. On the home screen, select Application Site.

  6. Select Admin. Menu.

  7. Select the Managed Items tab.

  8. Select Application List/Uninstallation.

  9. Navigate to RSI Control+ Setup and select Uninstall.

  10. Select Uninstall.

When an app's deleted message is displayed, select Close.
